CINEMATICOLOGY's Movie of the Day: Who Framed Roger Rabbit

25 year after Robert Zemeckis directed the 1973 featurette A Field of Honor, the Chicago native followed up Back to the Future - Part 3 with a live-action/partially animated mystery comedy starring Bob Hoskins as Eddie Valliant, a private investigator who unravels a random case of allegory involving Roger Rabbit (voiced by Charles Fleischer), who gets into trouble with Baby Huey in a series of distracting, highly disgusting misadventures. Roger Rabbit would go on to star in 1989's Tummy Trouble, which was released by Disney to coincide with Joe Johnston's Honey, I Shrunk the Kids the same year, and Roller Coaster Rabbit, directed and animated by a pre-Lion King Rob Minkoff (the Stuart Little films).
